| Notes: | Italian Abbot and doctor of law, he moved to Paris and Settling in Paris , he became the confidant of Cardinal Jules Mazarin , and had the task of organizing and overseeing court performances. He brought to the French capital the musicians Luigi Rossi , Francesco Cavalli and Carlo Caprioli. For Rossi he wrote the libretti for three works Orfeo ( 1647 ), the wedding of Peleus and Thetis ( 1654 ) and Hercules lover ( 1662 ). |
